For who?

Water Rebozo is a great tool that adapts to its public. On a physical level it is welcoming for those with physical restrictions or fear of being in water, pelvic and lumbar pain, birth traumas, mourning situations, changes in life in general. We also work with water rebozo in family dynamics, with babies, children, the elderly and with disabled people and their caregivers.

During the pregnancy sessions we are focusing on wellbeing and relaxation. From there, emerge the themes of connection, fears, relationships, memories. The therapeutic process tend to unfold naturally. Each one goes where they can, and also each therapist leads from their spectrum of action.

The Water Rebozo supports and enlarge the repertory of the body language of the theraptist. It can be used either for individual care or in group dynamics.

If you are already an aquatic bodyworker: Then we hope this will be a great new tool in your practice. The rebozo invites itself naturally into sessions, it emphasis the feelings of womb life. While the aquatic practices enlarge the spacio- sensorial field, the common feedback we receive with the Water Rebozo is that it gives a safe space (the water quantity is reduced to what is inside the fabric) where we feel held and cocooned. This is why it’s a great tool for pregnancy, elders, children, or people with fears. It helps to develop trust and the sensation of being embraced as a whole, while away from the holder’s direct physical touch.

For birthkeepers, caregivers: The Water Rebozo is a restorative practice. With simple movements you can offer your clients a safe place to rest and move freely. It’s also possible to give physical manipulations of pelvic, head support & mobilizations. With time you can use it to catch, embrace, and play with the fluidity of the body. The cocoon feeling of the rebozo allows the person to surrender, release tensions, let go of thoughts, and connect deeply with inner sensations. It’s incredible during pregnancy as it is a joyful way to connect with the partner or in a group.

If you don't have experience in the water: We invite you to join our other training to secure some foundational basics about aquatic bodywork before you start using the Water Rebozo.
